How much will the course cost?
HaveATicket.com guarantees our price to be lower than any competitor.
If you find a lower price please notify us and we will beat that price (price must be for the same court/county).
Please check your county for current pricing.
Is there an additional charge for the certificate?
No, the certificate is included in your course fee.
How long will the course take me to complete?
Completion times vary depending on reading level and other factors.
All home-study programs are regulated and require a minimum amount of curriculum.
In order to complete HaveATicket.com Traffic School you will need to read 10 short sections of
course material and complete the practice tests at the end of each section.
In addition you will need to complete a final exam of 25 questions.
Is any classroom attendance required?
No. Your classroom is in the comfort of your own home or office.
Does the court consider this course equivalent to a walk-in traffic school?
Yes, home-study courses are recognized as an equivalent alternative to the traditional walk-in traffic schools.
How do I know if I qualify for home-study?
Each court determines the criteria for home-study programs.
Check the information you received from your court, or contact the court, to verify your eligibility.
How soon should I sign up for HaveATicket.com?
HaveATicket.com is obviously more convenient than a walk-in course that requires a strict
classroom schedule. However, you should sign up as soon as possible so that you
may complete the course in plenty of time to allow for your Certificate
of Completion to be sent to you or your Court and recorded by your due date.
Do I have to wait for my payment to clear before I start?
No, you may start the course and then send your payment. However, you will not have
access to the final exam until we have received your payment.
What payment options are available?
We accept Visa and Mastercard as well as cashiers checks, money orders and gift
certificates.
What if I fail the course?
This course virtually guarantees that you pass. You may take the quizzes over and over as many times as necessary in order to pass.
You may also take the final exam as many times as necessary to pass. There is no additional charge for taking the tests multiple times.
What if I need to change my mailing address or other information?
Most information may be changed by the student using the "My Account" facility.
Students may change due dates, billing address, driver's license number etc.
If the County or Jurisdiction needs to be changed, please contact our office.
Am I required to complete the course in one sitting?
No, you may log on as many times as necessary in order to complete the course,
you may also re-examine the sections you have already completed at any time.
I paid a traffic school fee to the court. Why do I have to pay HaveATicket.com too?
Courts charge an administrative fee to allow you to attend traffic school. This is separate from your traffic school tuition.
We do not receive any compensation from the courts and they receive no compensation from us.
What if I do not have an Email address?
An Email address is not required. However, without an Email address you will not receive automatic notices verifying that
we have confirmed your completion of the course. This will make no difference to the court, or your experience with the course.
If you take the course without providing a valid Email address,
and you do not receive a Certificate of Completion in the mail within four days of finishing the test
and your payment has cleared (if you pay by check, remember this takes up to 5 extra days) please call us
at 1-888-74-COURT.
What if I do not have access to the Internet?
That would pose somewhat of a problem. Internet access is required. We have had many students take the
course at work (with permission), on a friend's computer, or even at a local library. Any Internet access will do.
Where will my certificate be delivered?
We send the certificate directly to the court in all counties except San Diego.
San Diego is currently the only county that requires that we send the certificate to the mailing address entered during registration. San Diego require the student's signature on the certificate, and it is the student's
responsibility to either mail or walk the certificate to the San Diego court.
What is ID Verification and where/why is it required?
In certain counties ID Verification is required by the court to ensure that the student taking traffic school is
indeed the student who received a citation. This is a relatively straight forward process.
We offer all online testing and online Identity Verification. You will be asked a series of questions that only you should know the answers. If you answer them correctly - you're identity has been verified - it's as simple as that.
We also offer the option for you to print the final exam, take it to a notary, or alternatively, our office, and
have your identity verified. If you choose a notary, they will verify that you are the person taking the test
and will notarize the notary area of the printed test (A Notary Public generally charges between $10 and $15 per signature verified). You will then complete the test and either fax or mail the answer sheet and notary page to our office. All ID Verification final examinations are "open book". You may bring whatever materials you wish to take your final exam.
Note: Any county requiring ID Verification will be clearly indicated during the registration process.
I received a list from the court but HaveATicket.com is not on the list. Are you approved?
Check HaveATicket.com for your county, if we indicate that your court is approved, it is.
Note: Los Angeles County provides two lists. One list contains only
walk-in schools and will not have our site listed. The other list, located at www.lasuperiorcourt.org/Traffic/traffichomestudylist contains all home-study
programs and will not list walk-in schools. We are listed on the home-study list. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or email us.
Why are there "Court Mandated" questions in the chapter quizzes that don't have anything to do with traffic safety?
The courts require that we ask "security" questions to ensure that students read the curriculum. These questions are taken from statements embedded in the curriculum.
There is 1 security question in each section. The security questions are not asked in the final exam.
